"A Night at the Museum"

Where can you meet Civil War soldiers, Elvis, pirates and historical figures from Mobiles history all under one roof? At the Museum of Mobile! On October 14, when the clock strikes 5, history comes to life.
Talk to historical characters.
Go on an historical scavenger hunt.
See Elvis, sword fighting pirates, the Zuri Dance Company and a short play by Comedia Del Arte!
A Mobile Public Library storyteller will tell spooky stories and tales about Mobiles history.
Kids get a goody bag with treats!
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, $3 for children, and ages 6 and under get in for free!
This event also supports UNICEF. Please bring your pocket change to help fill UNICEFs orange donation box.

Phoenix Fire Museums Family Fun Day
June 9, 2011
Designed to both educate and entertain, Family Fun Day is co-sponsored by the Mobile Fire Department. This event is held on the grounds of the Phoenix Fire Museum located at 203 S. Claiborne Street. Firefighters interact with children as they tour huge fire trucks and ambulances including the Fire Departments Smoke House truck. Other fun activities include face-painting, wipe-on tattoos, bubble-blowing and coloring contests. A guided tour of the turn-of-the-century Fire House includes a scavenger hunt for children.

Colonial Day at Fort Condé
Show your students what life was like in Colonial Mobile at this fun, FREE, festive, and educational event at Fort Condé. Watch the musket and cannon demonstrations, and participate in activities such as: candle making, writing with a quill pen, dressing up in colonial clothing, playing colonial games, and more! Yoruba Cultural Festival
October, 2011
Bring your students to the Museum of Mobile to learn about the fascinating culture of the Yoruba peoples of West Africa. The festival includes storytelling and musical performances, a tour of a Yoruba art exhibit, and a mask making activity.
