FRIGHT NIGHT AT THE FORT!

Terrified of Halloween? Don't be! Experience the thrill of this holiday in a family friendly environment at Historic Fort Condé at Fright Night at the Fort.


The Museum of Mobile is sponsoring this event that is FREE and open to the public. Join us Friday, October 26th, from 4-8 pm at Fort Condé, 150 South Royal Street, for this evening of fun.

SANTA CHASE 5K
Saturday, December 1, 2007
- Santa Chase 5K Run will begin at 8am in front of the Museum of Mobile. Morning of the run registration will begin at 7am at Fort Condé and awards will be presented after the run in Fort Condé. Festive Holiday Costumes are encouraged.

This event benefits the Museum of Mobile's educational outreach programs and $1 of each registration will also benefit the Arthritis Foundation. The run is organized by Port City Pacers and the course has been certified. Participants who registered by November 15th are guaranteed a long sleeve t-shirt. Adults $15, Students $12 --

Day of race registration Adults $20 - Students $15 Mobile Police and Firefighters are free without shirt or $10 with t-shirt.



HISTORIC HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
Sunday, December 2, 2007, 1 to 5pm
- Refreshments, entertainment, storytelling, holiday and historic activities and a visit from St. Nicholas. FREE!

Colonial Day at Fort Condé

Friday, February 29, 2008
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Show your students what life was like in Colonial Mobile at this fun, FREE, festive, and educational event at Fort Condé. Watch the musket and cannon demonstrations, and participate in activities such as: candle making, writing with a quill pen, dressing up in colonial clothing, playing colonial games, and more! See live farm animals and talk to colonial re-enactors! For more information, call the Education Department at (251) 208-7723.

Phoenix Fire Museum’s Family Fun Day
Designed to both educate and entertain, Family Fun Day is co-sponsored by the Mobile Fire Department. This event is held on the grounds of the Phoenix Fire Museum located at 203 S. Claiborne Street. Firefighters interact with children as they tour huge fire trucks and ambulances including the Fire Department’s Smoke House truck. Other fun activities include face-painting, wipe-on tattoos, bubble-blowing and coloring contests. A guided tour of the turn-of-the-century Fire House includes a scavenger hunt for children.


















Camps are for children entering 4th, 5th or 6th grade in the fall. All camps will begin at 9:00 am and end at 1:00 pm. For more information contact our Education Dept. at 208-7510. The museum is located in downtown Mobile at 111 South Royal St.
