A modern museum housed in the Southern Market/Old City Hall National Historic Landmark, the Museum of Mobile is a visual masterpiece that provides an unparalleled event setting.
A modern 1855 resolution, passed to construct a building for the city market and departments of the city government, now the Museum of Mobile, declared that this structure should be, "of handsome appearance-an ornament to the City,". Indeed it is. This beautiful Italianate building was, "quite the pride of Mobilians," then - and still is today.
Whether your event is an intimate reception, large dinner party or anything in between, the Museum of Mobile has the space to fit your needs. Be our guest. Host your event with us and become a part of our city's rich history.

Atrium
Anchored by the towering 1890s statue, Marianne - the French Goddess of Liberty, and the spiraling monumental marble staircase, the Atrium is the museum's most visually impressive special event space. Having once been the center of the city's large public market, the Atrium is as unique historically as it is visually. Whether dancing on the black and white marble floor or relaxing under the watchful eye of Marianne, your guests will enjoy creating a new memory for their own personal history.

Hearin-Chandler Auditorium
Once the chambers for Mobile's lively city council meetings, the Hearin-Chandler Auditorium provides a distinctive backdrop for any social occasion. Rich crown molding, elegant gold leaf accents and regal columns frame this space that serves as a versatile venue for receptions, dinners, presentations and other notable gatherings.
